What is Photowonder?

Photowonder began as an idea I had to start a photography community of people who wanted to prioritize seeing wonder every day, living their lives intentionally. I launched it as an education group that met monthly. Though it was beautiful and members experienced noticeable growth in their work, it wasn't sustainable for me. But I still believe in this vision, and wanted to do something under this name with the same goals.

Photowonder is a love letter to creativity, curiosity, and the quiet magic that lives in everyday moments.

It’s a brand I created for people who feel most alive when they’re noticing something—a slant of light, a birdcall, a reflection in a puddle. For people who find beauty in the details and believe that wonder is a practice, not just a feeling. It’s for the artists, the seekers, the sensitive ones, and the endlessly inspired.

Photowonder began as an idea that tugged at me for a long time. As a photographer and creative educator, I’ve spent years capturing the world through a lens and teaching others how to see more clearly, more imaginatively. I’ve run group trips and courses, taken thousands of photos, and made miniature scenes that turn a patch of moss into a forest or a river into a glacier. Through it all, I’ve noticed one thing: people light up when they’re invited to wonder.

I wanted to create something that extended beyond my camera—a tangible way to share that spark. So I started building Photowonder: a small-batch shop of objects, wearables, and creative tools designed for people like me (and maybe you): the noticers. The dreamers. The ones who see a story in the sand, or feel the seasons shifting in their bones.

From a hat embroidered with infinite possibilities to postcards that whisper encouragement, every item is intentionally made to remind you of what you already know deep down: there is magic everywhere. Keep looking.

This is just the beginning.
